In April 2001 at the United Nations in New York City, Chernobyl Children's Project commemorated the 15th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster with the photo exhibition "Black Wind/White Land." These photos by Paul Fusco, which show the effects of the Chernobyl disaster on on the people living region, inspired filmmaker Maryann DeLeo to follow CCP through Belarus to make her film, "Chernobyl Heart."   Photos are (c) Paul Fusco, Magnum Agency, New York.
